On a sunny summer or fall day in Wellsboro, you are bound to see classic cars out hitting the town. In 2006, the Wellsboro Chamber of Commerce began a summer tradition of hosting Classic Car Cruise-In events, which take place on the last Saturday of May, July, and August. Our tourists love to add their cars to the mix by traveling to Wellsboro in their favorite driveable passions. Whether they register for a cruise-in event or just travel to Wellsboro on their own time, drivers of classic cars love taking in the beautiful countryside and seemingly traveling back in time through the historic town of Wellsboro, and the equally historic Penn Wells Hotel.

We’ve had several great groups of classic cars in recent years. One of our favorites was a group of 22 classic Bentleys that had been shipped from the UK for a cross-country trip in 2009. But we have also enjoyed our Corvette groups, Porsche groups, and BMW groups, not to mention the group of Hupmobiles that joined us in 2015. We were glad they chose the Penn Wells Hotel and Lodge for their stay in Wellsboro.
